Who am I

Today I made a google draw on what I like and then I made a collageof all of the stuff I like and the thing I like the most is minecraft.

Major Yuri Gagarin

This week for reading we used our creative skills to create an animation or
an explainer movie about Yuri Gagarin, in groups. My group and I decided
to create an animation. Before we created the animation, we planned it as
a group. On a piece of paper we drew a S to include the information we wan
ted about Yuri Gagarin from the start to the finish. A fact about Yuri Gagarin
is that he was the first cosmonaut to orbit Earth in Vostok 1. After planning
the animation, we started to create our animation. We chose a leader to tell
us our job of creating our animation. We all decided that Chavda was the rig
ht leader of our group. My group and I worked together as a team and help
ed each other to complete our animation. I think that everyone in my group
had great create skills and are really talented in drawing digitally.

Stardome

LS2 had a great experience at stardome, we learned a lot of things about space like saturns rings are made out of ice and dust. We learned scorpion/hook and sagitarius/teapot costellations.

Presenting Duffy

Today I made a DLO about presenting duffy. Duffy is when you present a book that you read and call out peoples name on a care award to grab a book to read. There can only be six people to grab a book.

Yuri's Diary by Jayden and Jonathan

Vostok 1 was starting to move and I felt nervous, scared and very excited to blast off into unknown. My chair was shaking. I heard over the radio, “ready for blast off!” I shouted back “YES SIR!” I really was proud to be a part of the Soviet Union.

I slowly opened my eyes that had been shut tight the whole way up and looked out of the window in front of me. I saw the clouds, oceans and land that made up earth. It was an incredible sight. I still can’t believe no one else has seen this picture!

The rockets boosters detached from the Vostok 1. Time for landing was getting closer,. It got intense and the rocket was falling down quickly. My job was to survive this mission so I had to pull the lever for the re-entry, also known as the escape lever. As my parachute opened I heard a soviet voice say “Hello are you there?” Our conversation went something like this:

“Hello?”

“Thank goodness!” This was followed by loud cheers as I was the first man to orbit the earth and return safely.

This week we read about Yuri Gagarin, the first man to orbit the earth. To show our understanding of the story Jonathan and I wrote Yuri Gagarin's diary entry for the 13th April 1961, the day after he survived the first manned mission to space.

Kiwi can

This weeks and terms topic is Integrity, Integrity is making right choices even if no ones looking. An example is having to tell the truth when you did something wrong. What I found it interesting is that we got to find out what the meaning of honesty and Integrity. This photo of my role play shows to be honest and to give back the stuff you don't own to the owner of it.

Tech

Today for tech I almost finished my work today. The wood work that i'm doing is a  piggy bank and in order to make a piggy bank is to make a box. The work was amazing and I got lots of help doing chezils because they were hard to control.

For writing me and my partner wrote what is a procedural text and what it does. If you want to write a procedural text you need a set of instuctions and materials to make it. me and my partner found out that a procedural text is  steps you can follow to make or do something interesting
