Step it up Art Colouring Book

L.I: To find out the different kinds of elements of art there are.

Art has different kinds of elements such as Line, Shape, Form, Colour, Value and Texture. The lines were already drawn while processing the image and the lines created shapes and pictures in my head. It formed many different things and it showed me what to colour. Next after we coloured we saw the value (brightness) and started to change it up a little. Like changing the colours from the dark and dull to the colourful and bright, last we added texture to the image. The colourful and bright colours reminds me i'm at a party.

Last day at tech

Today at Tamaki college was our last day of tech. Throught the past weeks The yr 8's were doing food tech and were making cool food. The yr 8's made a final meal for their last day. We make teriyaki chicken sushi with a little bit of sweet chilli sauce. We needed some rice, chicken and some seaweed wrapping. We mixed the teriyaki chicken with sweet chilli sauce and mayo. we soonly started to put the rice into the seaweed and then put the chicken on top. When we tasted the sushi it was delicious for the last day at tech

Art Colouring Book

Yesterday we tried one of this year’s Kick Start Summer Learning Journey activities. The purpose of this task was to experiment with colours by mixing colours from the original palette with pop colours. This allowd us to recolours famous painting or images of landmarks around the world. The picture I used to colour is called "The Watermelons by Diego Rivera." I think my art work is better because its way more imaginative and I really like pumpkins.

Te Whanau Raukura Performance

Today a Kapa Haka group came by our school and did some cool dances. They also showed us the meaning by the things they use for dancing like the taiaha, poi and te rakau. Bekah came over and showed LS2 a little game called Pukana. We played and it was quite easy to play because you just need to point your arms to the person on your right or left and say pukana.

Exploring our national current events

L.I: To identify author’s purpose.

These reasons are to persuade, inform or entertain (PIE). Each day, newspaper editors around the world must make desicions about which stories they will run. We explored the different types of current events that are happening in New Zealand, thought about why the story made the news and plotted the location on a google map.

Should masks be compulsory on NZ public transport

L.I: To identify and consider the two perspectives of this provocation to help me form an opinion.

Today we learned about why we should have masks on public transport. We made a provocation about it. We worked in our table groups to make this. We had different opinions or ideas about masks on public transport and write a yes or no section telling us why we should and why we shouldn't have masks on public transport
