Materials List
  • Glue
  • Sodium Tetraborate solution
  • Borax
  • Water
  • (Optional)Food colouring
  • (Optional)Glitter
  • Stir Spoon

Steps
  1. In one bowl mix 1 oz glue or ¼ of the glue bottle and ¼ of the water and if you want
coloured glitter slime, add a few drops of any food colouring and 2 teaspoons of glitter to the glue and water then stir with stir stick.

2. Add ¼ of the Sodium Tetraborate solution/Borax with the glue and mix carefully and slowly
or some of it will fall out so do it very carefully.

3. So when you mix the Sodium Tetraborate solution/Borax the slime will begin to form fast so
lift some of the solution with the stir stick and observe.

4. Stir as much as you can but slowly, then dig in with the stir spoon and knead the slime
with your hands until it gets less sticky.

4.  This is a messy way to do it but if you want to you can use gloves. Don’t worry about
any leftover water in the bowl just pour it out.

5. When the slime is not used any more put back in container but if it has no lid wrap it around
with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge so it won’t get yuck.

L.I is to write a procedural text
For writing we had to write a procedure about anything so I chose  how to make slime because I never leaned how to make slime  so What if I write about it so I started writing the procedure and I knew all the ingredient but didn't know how to make it so thats why I chose it

Flipgrid Math

 For math we had to do a basic facts boxes for our times tables then we had to make  a flipgrid video and say the meaning of multiplication like 5 x 2 = 10.

3 posters







L.I is to identify the structure and language features of a procedural text.

For writing we had to make 3 posters about procedures. First we had to chose an order that we go in so we can do it one at a time. The order that I did was Recipe, Directions and Build last. We had to write the title, end result, materials, add pictures, and steps then we had to write what it was and what is it like the ingredients or the steps.  

Kiwi sport

For Kiwi sport we did some stroking first then we some sculling but when we finished sculling the instructor said, "At the end there's a challenge." I was so exited. We had to do swimming skills in order but we have to remember all the skills that we learn and swim to the platform we had to do it two times and then we done three style.

Erik the viking raider


L.I is to identify the underlying morals/themes/explanation in Myths, Legends and Fairy tale

This week Me and Leon had to chose a book first out of Born to fly, Erik the viking raider and Odysseus the warrior we had to chose and then read then make a DLO about the book. We chose Erik the viking raider because we thought that it would be great to discover new things about viking raiders and what they do.

NZ Defence Force



For the NZ Defence Force we learned abot a shockwave and what it does so we had to create a small group and try and make protection like a force field with one peice of paper and 8 staws but unfortunatly our structure didn't hold on to the table long enough but at least we had fun making it because it took hard work.





Kiwi Can



L.I Is to learn about what perseverance is.

For Kiwi can we played our energiser first it was called chain tag. The rules were when you get tagged you have to hold on to the person who tagged you hand a make a big chain but the two survivors win and at the end of the game me and Sandra won the game then we a a little talk of what perseverance and resilience means so perseverance means never giving up and resilience means bouncing back. After the talk we played invisible touch and at the end we lost and the other team won but at least we had fun.

Duffy Assembly


In duffy assembly there was a artist in assembly he told us everything that had been past through his life he's an artist, professional wrestler and a semi pro gamer at teken and then hehanded out books to us at the end but after the end he showed us a drawing of him picking his nose we were all laughing and he talked why he showed this drawing of him he just wanted to do what he had to do.

Procedure


L.I Is to identify the structures and language features of a procedural text
Today for writing we had to write what a simple present, verb, 3rd person and procedure is we had to get photos of what they mean and what it is so we can write steps in cook books or other kinds that need steps in.

Basic facts

L.I to develop fast recall of basic addition and subtraction facts

Today for Maths we had to do a Addition and subtraction box whether that im good at my maths or not and when I did it I had to do it in 20 seconds so I can tell how fast I am at my maths so I can get better at it and then I will get Smarter and Smarter at my maths.

Flintlock


Today for Inquiry me and my group had to chose a weapon or explosive that can defeat enemies or castles so my group chose a flintlock because it can be used in a little distant and it can be used in war or any other places that they have fights or wars in so they can use the flintlock but it takes a long time to reload.

Kiwi can



In kiwi can we had a little talk about what perseverance means and what it does. After that we played add on and it was just like word master but we had to pull out as many fingers and add them up then we had to say the right answer first then they get to move on to the next person and it went on and on then we had a more talking on what perseverance. Finally we played a card game and when we played it the instructor said we had to not get frustrated when we played the game the at the end of the card game our group won the game.

Narrative August

Kaz and the time ticking situation
One Stormy afternoon there was a young superhero named Kaz he was a hero who always saves the day and cares about others but one day the most wanted villain out of all other villains called Dr Time Bomb escaped from prison when he escaped he made some wings but when he flew he went into a dimension void and Kaz followed him through the void.

When they went through the void they were in the monster dimension so Dr time bomb was causing lots of trouble in the monster dimension he made a gun that can teleport things wherever he wants it to be so if you can put a car in front of you and saw a movie theater Dr time bomb can just teleport the car on the movie theater so while Dr time bomb was doing that he saw Kaz the hero and went to another dimension.



When they went through the void they were in the scary dimension where there was creepy people and they saw them in the creepy dimension of them so they ignored them and went into a creepy haunted house they went inside and saw Dr time bomb stealing money so Kaz the went inside and SLAM!! Went the door and a trap went down and traped Kaz.



Kaz was about to use his super strength but the door at the back of of him was unlocked then he saw Dr time bomb Going into another dimension but even when he can reach to the dimension void Kaz used his super speed to stop him so he went out of the house and flew over to Dr time bomb and stopped him and Kaz took him to a high security prison that he will never escape.

But he still had hid teleport gun so when he used it he escaped. . . 5 DAYS LATER. . . Kaz heard about the new about Dr time bomb escaped from prison then Just when Kaz was about to exit his house he opened the door then Dr time bomb came back and the void will do whatever Dr time bomb says.

but they went back to the creepy house in the void and they fought there but then Dr time bomb was prepared he set traps everywhere in the haunted house then Kaz started with his super kick and Dr time bomb dogged it then Dr time bomb used the force so he wouldn't escape then he used super kick and it knock out Dr time bomb.

Kaz went back home to prepare himself so he can get ready to fight Dr time bomb . . . 3 DAYS LATER . . . He was so prepared he trained day and night no sleep except for day 3 he slept the whole day so when he woke up he was in the Dr time bomb HQ the creepy house Kaz was ready to fight.

The door opened and he say Dr time bomb with Kaz’s Friend so his friend was married and Dr time bomb threatened him that he will kill his wife and when he told he was with his wife again lucky Kaz was armed with a knife then he cut himself loose and threatened Dr time bomb. When he escaped with Dr time bomb the police came to arrest Dr time bomb.



Then this a tall guy came with the police and he had big muscles and tipped Dr time bomb upside down and destroyed all his gadgets with a big hammer. then he went back to the security prison but there was a super high security prison with laser and he can’t use any gadgets or machine that he makes he was down there forever.

Bow and Arrows


For Inquiry we had to chose a bow and arrow or a wall so our group chose the Bow and arrow so when we play we can hit them in a long range and when we chose it we had to explain why we chose it, why bow and arrows were used, how they work and when was the first bow and arrow made so and we chose it because when we play we can defeat the defenders or the invaders in our game we play.
