For the Summer learning Journey Day 2 we had to write about the biggest tree in NZ. The biggest tree in NZ is called Agathis australis. This tree was one of NZ's Biggest Trees its bigger that big and i think its bigger that the sky tower.

Hi Jayden again this time im going to tell you all about the south island and the north island and how it became the main parts of NZ

NZ is our country we live in the main parts of NZ is The south island and the north island you might already know this but the south island is a giant stingray that has been fished my Maui the demigod with his magical fishhook and that is how the south island became part of NZ witch has many city's like Auckland the most popular city in the south island. The north island is popular it has lots of other stuff and there are lots and lots of people living there as well and that why its so popular.

Aotearoa is our home of New Zealand. There are there are three different lands in our country The South Island, North Island and Stewart Island. Our home New Zealand is where Maui the Demigod had fished a giant fish called a stingray with his magical  and became our south island of New Zealand/Aotearoa. Aotearoa is a Maori name for New Zealand because Maui the Demigod was Maori.

Twas The Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas with our Christmas tree up

& 12 Christmas cookies & warm milk in a cup
It was very very cold & the wind was so chilly
Then my mum was outside and then she said “really!”

Me & my little brother was getting ready to sleep
And then i dreamed of having a pool that was very deep
My older brother was trying to download some roblox
& my dad was hanging some old Christmas socks.

My sister at work and she works at countdown
And then my mums young ones was crying & had frowns
They all woke me up & i put their channel on
And they all went to sleep when i was watching a song.

Finally i went to sleep with my brother in his bed
& his body was so sweaty i said in my head
So i grabbed another blanket & slept on the floor
And when I did that I felt like I was poor.

When I woke up I had skateboards and swords
And my big brother had lots of PS4 cords
When my little brother woke up he had the same thing
And we put Christmas music on that we all like to sing.

L.I is to understand rhyme.
For Writing we had to make a Twas the Night Before Christmas Rhyme
and I thought my work was pretty good and I did editing all week and then
I finally thought it was complete.

For inquiry we had to write about one activist who was involed in the nonviolent protest and get into a group so in our group we chose Martin Luther King Jr because he was the leader of the modern civil war.

Find, Draw, Animate, Act


LI: to learn a whole bunch of new words.
For reading we had to do a find,draw,animate and act slide about new vocabulary and understand it as well. The main words were opulent, fetid, encroach and thwart and then we haq dto put it in one of thye slides and draw or find or animate or act it out.

Horton Hears A Who






L.I: To understand conflict and Resolution in a fiction text
For writing we had to write a plot diagram and write the conflicts in the movie Horton hears a who i had to write the plot diagram when I was watching the movie and the conflict on the who and Horton i had to do that after then i got to do it today. we had to write the Character vs Character, Nature vs Character and Society vs Character.

Kiwi Sport

For Kiwi sport we learnt how to do everything we learnt in the past like jab,cross, upper cut, left hook and right hook, Slide and Under we done all that and it was tiring at the end of our kiwi sport lesson we all took a selfie of group b in our class.

Kiwi Can

For kiwi can we ha lots of fun doing the energiser and the activity we played snakes and tic tac toe and the lesson we had to learn about Respecting  for our environment. First we got on with a game called snakes we could roll around and slither if we were the tagger if we were the humans we could run and jump over the snakes it was really fun playing and the game was really exhausting. Then we got on with talking about respecting our environment i only asked 1 question for the lesson. After that we played this awesome game called tic tac toe on the chairs or just tic tac toe we had to come up with names then the instruction would put it on the board we called my team the IRON FISTS then we came up in the semi finals but we lost it was fun though then the finals came up and the foot ballers came first everyone was clapping then we had to go back to class

Materials List
  • Glue
  • Sodium Tetraborate solution
  • Borax
  • Water
  • (Optional)Food colouring
  • (Optional)Glitter
  • Stir Spoon

Steps
  1. In one bowl mix 1 oz glue or ¼ of the glue bottle and ¼ of the water and if you want
coloured glitter slime, add a few drops of any food colouring and 2 teaspoons of glitter to the glue and water then stir with stir stick.

2. Add ¼ of the Sodium Tetraborate solution/Borax with the glue and mix carefully and slowly
or some of it will fall out so do it very carefully.

3. So when you mix the Sodium Tetraborate solution/Borax the slime will begin to form fast so
lift some of the solution with the stir stick and observe.

4. Stir as much as you can but slowly, then dig in with the stir spoon and knead the slime
with your hands until it gets less sticky.

4.  This is a messy way to do it but if you want to you can use gloves. Don’t worry about
any leftover water in the bowl just pour it out.

5. When the slime is not used any more put back in container but if it has no lid wrap it around
with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge so it won’t get yuck.

For writing we had to write a procedure about anything so I chose  how to make slime because I never leaned how to make slime  so What if I write about it so I started writing the procedure and I knew all the ingredient but didn't know how to make it so thats why I chose it
