Kiwi sport

For Kiwi sport we did some stroking first then we some sculling but when we finished sculling the instructor said, "At the end there's a challenge." I was so exited. We had to do swimming skills in order but we have to remember all the skills that we learn and swim to the platform we had to do it two times and then we done three style.

Swimming

Today for swimming we had to get into the pool with life jackets and learn about life jackets when we got inside the pool we had to put one hand on a shoulder and the other one on our mouth and nose I went last and it was fun doing it and we had to go back and sit on the side wall then we went back into the water and get into a huddle then we had to swim to the instructor and back then we went out of the pool.

Swimming

For swimming I went to the deep side for the first time. So I went to the deep side I learned how to do a star fish float the instructor said just relax when you do the star float so I relaxed and I made it to the other platform. Then we had to go deep in the water then the instructor said "when you are going deep under water make sure there is no one above you or below because when someone it above you, you might hit your head in their stomach and you might hurt you head."after the talk we had to do it to the other platform then back. when we finished we had to go to the platform by doing something we learned it did the star fish float then got out of the water and changed.

Swimming

In swimming for the Yr 6's we had to learn about swimming and learn how to swim. I learned many things like how to stroke in swimming and how to stroke backwards. Those lessons were my favourite in swimming and after that the swimming teacher tested how long we can hold our breath in the water and how far we can get to the platform. I went second but the person who went first they didn't make it to the other platform. I was holding my breath for so long I actually made it to the other platform. Then we had to do the pencil jump and once we did it we had to go to the platform.
